I am one of Marianne’s friends from Washington DC. We lived in the same building for many years (maybe 10 years). I was very shocked to learn of her passing. There are a lot of things I admired about Marianne, her big smile, zest for life, honest and straightforward conversations, her sense of adventure and always pushing forward to accomplish new goals. I remember when she told me about her plan to pursue a Phd in Canada and how excited she was about it. Adios my friend, you will definitely be missed. It was truly a blessing having you in my life.
